El interés por la arquitectura militar ha traído a Rosell Meseguer a la residencia. Torres para vigilar a los piratas, búnkeres de la segunda guerra mundial, … edificaciones que o bien pasan desapercibidas por lo deterioradas que están o porque están muy ocultas o edificaciones reconvertidas hace tiempo en viviendas.
Por otro lado, el estudio de la residencia le ha permitido a Rosell trabajar en otra materia que también le apasiona, la geología. Picón, arena, polvo, tierra,… de ahí que las obras que ha realizado a lo largo de su estancia están impregnadas de Lanzarote y su materia.
Rosell Meseguer’s interest in military architecture has brought him to the residence. Pirate watchtowers, World War II bunkers… structures that either go unnoticed due to their state of disrepair, their hidden location, or buildings long since converted into homes.
On the other hand, studying the residence has allowed Rosell to work on another subject that also fascinates him: geology. Picón (volcanic rock), sand, dust, earth… hence, the works he has created during his stay are imbued with Lanzarote and its natural elements.
