In this project, Estíbaliz used collage as the primary tool to carry out a process of appropriation and iconographic redefinition of materials and references linked to nature and the landscape. Through this technique, she explored the expressive possibilities offered by fragmentation and repetition, creating a visual immediacy that she developed both analogically and digitally.

Her intention was to generate an effect of strangeness in the viewer that invites them to reflect on their relationship with the natural environment. Through the elements she chooses, Estíbaliz seeks to highlight the fragility of the medium, highlighting the decontextualization and gestural nature of the images.

In the collages, she incorporates images she has collected from nature, which she archives and collects as a starting point. Using scenes and symbols extracted from this archive, she creates fragmented associations on paper.

Her approach is based on visual deconstruction and the abstraction of forms, which opens the space to new interpretations and meanings.
